A workshop/retreat experience on becoming a man God would bless. Based on II Chronicles 16:9, this experience excavates from the heart and reality of every man the vision and dream God has for men to be truly blessed, anointed and “strongly supported” by the power of the Holy Spirit. This men’s retreat offers practical steps to becoming a fighting, engaged man for an aligned heart in Christ.
"After the retreat this weekend, I feel as if I have become renewed. I
have been humbled and I want to live my life more strongly for Christ.
I know in my heart that this retreat was a major stepping stone in my
faith, and I am so grateful God brought me here, as well as touched my
heart. The first night when we learned to fight for God’s purpose, and
we turned down our idols that take us away from God, I learned that
isolation from others will harm my faith, and that I need to show God’s
love to everyone around me. I really felt God’s love flow through me,
and I will never forget it."

"I echo
my excitement for the conference. Frankly, it was even better than I
thought it would be. The vulnerability of guys was inspiring and it was
obvious that God was using you, Todd, to call men to more. One guy last
week told me that he had wanted to lead his family well, but the
conference gave him the tools how to do it. The family vision portion
was a game changer for him. He wants to do the conference every
quarter! Bottom line...I love the fire that is being stoked inside of
men at The Creek. "
Full
length DVD's are available for this entire retreat, edited down to 4
DVD's. Perhaps, like me, you’ve attended every kind of retreat for men known to mankind. Many of these events are great for the purpose they serve. However, they often sent our guys home excited, but lacking in a plan on just how to initiate the change they sensed needed to take place. This retreat is a life-changing experience, not a program. In my belief, it prepares men to pursue the ministry opportunities a church may have in place. It turns programs in a church into answers to questions guys start asking such as “How do I continue to FIGHT in my walk as a man?” “Where can I stay connected to opportunities that give me a vision from God for my life?” So, imagine a retreat that is foundational, practical, and leans more toward a workshop on becoming a man of God rather than just talking about it. I often left other retreats feeling worse about the guy I was than excited about the guy I could become. Four challenges lead men in one simple direction – how can I become more the guy that God would bless? It challenges guys to “align” their life in Christ with the understanding that without the power and blessings of the Holy Spirit, my Christian life is destined to fail. These four challenges seemed to be the basis for all other issues in the life of a man. We understand today that a major key to success in families and in the church is a man "fully alive" in Christ. This foundational piece of a healthy church and family can not be ignored or left to its own. As a church, we must be devoted to building, encouraging and developing Godly men. That definition of a man "fully alive" has been blurred in so many ways through poor mentors, poor models, and characters representing less than a Godly man in the entertainment world. What does a man "fully alive" look like? The charge for this retreat is challenging men to align their life with the purpose and power of God. Men are challenged to align their activity, their attitude, and their energy with the priorities and passion of Christ. Men are challenged to pursue these ideals and models today, to model themselves after the Heavenly Father, and to "fight like a man" for the blessing of Christ on a family, on a career, on a marriage, on a man.
