God bless, and thank you for connecting with our ministry today via our newsletter. A special welcome to you as we quickly make our way into the summer of 2009. We're finding that there is a fine balance played out in ministry between diving in and going on your own at your own speed, and trying to discern exactly where God is headed, and where he is leading us. Devotions this morning recanted the story of David and Goliath (I Samuel 17), and how David thought he was being sent to the front lines of the conflict between the Israelites and the Philistines to deliver corn and supplies to his brothers. Instead , he was appointed by God for something even greater, and found himself face to face with a giant, representing not only the Israelites, but representing all who follow Christ. This one act of obedience and faith changed the course of his life forever.

MINISTRY IN APRIL & MAY WORSHIP LEADING It was my great honor to lead worship for two services on Saturday, April 18 for the state ministry of the Church of God in Oklahoma. Pastor Dave Dittman served this organization last year as the chairman, and invited our ministry to be a part of 2 exciting services - a worship service on Saturday morning, and a service to ordain a number of pastors entering fulltime ministry. This was nothing short of a family reunion get together with so many pastors and friends from former congregations I've known. The Lovett's from Casper, WY, Steve Seaton, who is now a professor at Mid-America Christian University, but who used to serve the First Church of God in Lexington, KY when I was across town at Eastland Church of God, and many others. Pastor Lynnette Kautz serves the Sapulpa First Church of God as worship pastor. She has also served our ministry as a Tile Mover for approximately 2 years, faithfully interceding for ministry opportunities. Lynnette and the band and vocals from Sapulpa First Church (which included senior pastor Ken Price) also led in worship with me for both services.
Sunday morning, I stayed over in Sapulpa and shared in worship and spoke on the topic "Purposeful Unsettledness." Click on Teaching Series to hear a sample clip from this challenge to know our "holy discontent" in Christ. Our thanks to the state of OK Church of God and to the church in Sapulpa for a rich weekend of ministry.
GUEST ARTIST Sunday, May 3, 2009 In 1971, my father moved our family to Tampa, FL to become the senior pastor family for the First Church of God in Tampa. I was just finishing up 3rd grade at the time, and thought my life calling was going to be wrestling alligators as a result. Thank you God for clarifying that soon after. So it was with great anticipation that our ministry was invited to share in worship some 38 years later. Pastor Larry Mobley and his wife, Chi Chi have been known for many, many years for their ministry throughout the church. Chi Chi is a fabulous pianist and she and Larry have led worship for numerous camp meetings and family camps over the years. GUEST WORSHIP LEADER
As soon as the service ended on Sunday morning, Claudia and made our way to Lake Wales, FL for the first celebration and worship leading opportunity with Heart to Honduras. This missions organization began in the Church of God at Warner Southern College some 20 years ago. Now led by Pastor Gordon Garrett on the stateside of things, 2009 marks a very
special set of worship experiences across the country to celebrate God's goodness for the past 20 years. Some of our readers may remember my last trip with my middle son, Tyler to Honduras last July. Pastor Jack Hilligoss and worship pastor Kyle Yost were both gracious hosts for the evening. The worship band from Highpoint led worship with me that evening as we celebrated individual stories of how God is bringing people to Christ through this ministry. GUEST WORSHIP LEADER Our busy month of ministry in May ended with a fabulous experience with the Heart to Honduras leadership and those who attended the 2nd 20th Year celebration at the Eastside Community Church, just outside of Wichita, KS. Pastor Dennis Turner and worship team, including his wife, Cathy, who serves as the Program Director, were an absolute blessing to work with. Check out these photos of the band and our crew that evening:

It's been a life changing experience for the past 20 years for Todd to be involved with the missions organization, Heart to Honduras, birthed within the Church of God at the Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, FL. Last year, Todd and his son, Tyler, took a missions trip together to lead worship, speak in churches, work on a local school, and bring a worship ministry conference for over 80 worship leaders to the rural churches in Honduras. Click on HONDURAS for videos and photos from their trip this past July. This was Todd's 5th trip and Tyler's first to the country of Honduras, and prayerfully will not be the last. Take a moment to view the H2H Ministry Promo Video. As a part of the 20th year celebration, President Gordon Garrett and the board of H2H have planned 5 national events in the United States to both celebrate this monumental year in the life of this ministry, and to bring awareness to the Church of God at large about the need in Honduras for both the gospel and discipleship of Believers in the area. Co-founder Miguel Pinnell will be speaking for these events to be held in the following communities and churches:
Todd has been asked to be the worship leader/guest artist for each of these venues in 2009. This is a great honor, and we invite anyone in these communities to attend these powerful worship experiences to hear how God is profoundly moving in the hearts of people in this region of the world. The local worship ministries in each church venue will be leading worship with Todd. Come and experience the celebration of how God has blessed for the past 20 years with Heart to Honduras.

National Speaking Opportunities For the 4th year in a row, Todd has been invited to lead conferences for the North American Convention of the Church of God annual event held each year in Anderson, IN. On Saturday, June 27, Todd will be leading the all-church equipping conference entitled BUILDING THE CHURCH OF GOD'S DREAMS. This conference is open to anyone and everyone interested in living in the center of God's will within the Body of Christ. While the title suggests some type of "church conference", this is truly a personal revitalization experience to gain perspective on our life as a Christian person choosing to attend church. Registration is handled through the Church of God Ministries office. For more information, contact Sue Baird at SBaird@chog.org or call 765-648-2130. A brochure for this event will answer many questions you might have. To host this retreat in your local church, click on Scheduling Request Form and Todd will personally respond within two business days. (click on the logo to the left for details.) On Monday, June 29th of this convention, Todd will also be leading a conference for those involved in worship ministry entitled THE CALL OF A TILE MOVER - Leading Others to the Feet of Christ. This all-day retreat focuses primarily on the heart of those who lead and participate in worship. The day is focused around the acronym of the word ANOINT, and challenges a church to become a place where God's anointing abounds in worship. The conference is open and appropriate for anyone to attend, and will be held at the sanctuary of the Park Place Church of God on the campus of Anderson University. To become a part of this experience, click on REGISTRATION to be a part of this retreat. Open a brochure on this event if you would like more information.
A final opportunity for 2009 will be the privilege to share in a conference for the FLORIDA MEN OF INTEGRITY organization, who sponsor several IRON SHARPENS IRON conferences in the state and around the country each year. Todd will be speaking for the conference as a seminar leader on Saturday, November 14 in Hollywood, FL. Anyone in the area is welcomed to attend. The conference will be held at the Sheridan Hills Baptist Church. (click on the icon to the left for details)
